Otto Zoff was born in Prague on April 9, 1890.His father was a Catholic and came from ÖAustria.His mother was Jewish and came from Czechoslovakia.At the age of two, Otto Zoff´s family moved to ÖAustria.In Vienna, Otto Zoff studied art history and archäology,literature, and history.In 1914. In 1914 he worked in Vienna at the Department for the Preservation of Art Objects as a conservator.1915-1917 Otto Zoff was an editor at the Fischer-Verlag in Berlin and a contributor to the Berlines Tagblatt, the Berliner Börsenkurier and also wrote articles in various magazines - Neue Rundschau, Kunst und Künstler, Wieland, Licht und Schatten.1917 he followed Otto Falckenberg´s call and became dramaturge at the Münchner Kammerspiele.Two years later he was deputy director until 1923.From 1920-1922 he managed the O.C.Recht Verlag in München.1922-1925 His literary work is documented in a variety of works, beginning in 1913 with the novel Das Haus am Wege (The House on the Road) and ending in 1968 with Tagebücher aus der Auswanderung (Diaries of Emigration) (1939-1944).He wrote theater plays, biographies, actor monographs and anthologies.1933, when the National Socialists came to power, was a time of uncertainty for Otto Zoff. Otto Zoff was married three times: in 1914 he married Mimi Zoff, and they divorced in 1923/1924. In 1929 he married the actress Magda Simon, whom he had already met during his time at the Munich Kammerspiele, and divorced in 1935. The whole years of his exile were marked by a never-ending creative will.1961 came the couple Zoff back to Germany.On 14.12.1963 Otto Zoff died in München
