The Jewish Cemetery Wingst is a Jewish cemetery in the municipality of Wingst (joint municipality Land Hadeln) in the district of Cuxhaven in Lower Saxony. The Jewish cemetery in the Wingst was the burial site for the synagogue community of Neuhaus(Oste) and surrounding places

Location:
From the B 73 (Cuxhaven)-Cadenberge-Hemmoor-(Stade) you turn about 3 km südlich of Cadenberge westwärts off, signposts to „Höden Wingst“. Follow the road through Höden and come to a narrow paved road that runs first through meadows and fields, then through the forest in the direction of Cadenberge. In the forest the road – it is called Altenfluther Weg – makes a sharp right turn. In this bend, a forest path branches off to the left, with wooden signposts to the waterworks, the forest parking lot, etc. The path is followed for a short distance. Follow the path for about 50 m until another forest path branches off to the right, which may not be used. This forest road you follow für good 50 m, then you see to the left between the Bäumen a gate and behind it the cemetery.

Description:
The cemetery is located in the middle of the forest, not far from Cadenberge. In the 90 years since the last burial took place here in 1926, nature has the site zuräckerobert.

You enter through the unlocked gate first the extension of 1850, between Bäumen and Blaubeersträuchern can be found here about 20 gravestones, dahahinter anschließend;end the old cemetery of 1767, which was fully occupied in 1850. Here are only 5 gravestones preserved, but bumps show that the entire area was filled with grasses.

Condition (May 2006):
natural
