Jüdische inhabitants are documented here since about 1730, 1840 formed seven families from Beverstedt, Schiffdorf and Wulsdorf a religious community, their prayer room was located in a private house. A small burial ground was laid out in the parcel „Hinter dem Busche“.
Location:
You leave the A 27 (Bremen-Cuxhaven) üvia the junction 11 Stotel and soon reach the village. From Burgstraß, turn right before the pharmacy into Schulstraß, the third street on the right after entering the village. You follow the Schulstra;e, until it turns right, here you stay straight (signpost to the sports facilities), and fährt über a dirt road, until you see on the left side in a small Gehölz the cemetery.
Description:
Ca. 15 Gräber, probably all from the 19th century. resp. early 20th century.
At least on two stelae the blessing hands are depicted, in some of the German inscriptions the family name Cohn can be found.
Condition of preservation (March 2006):
Acceptable.
