The Fürth address book from 1886 contains the following entry: Auerbach Lippmann, Bronce-, Brocat- u. Blatt-Metall-Handlung, Firma L. Auerbach, Rosenstr. 19. - The company stamp on the postcard from 1882 already shows the name of the " Bronce- und Blattmetallfabrik L. Auerbach " in Fürth. In 1887 the company expanded to Rothenbruck. From " L. Auerbach " became the " Bronze Paint and Aluminum Powder Factory L. Auerbach & Co ". As early as 1895, paints manufactured in Fürth by L. Auerbach & Co. and modified several times in their formulation were patented and marketed in England. Around 1915 the company had three factories - Rothenbruck factory (Bavaria) - Rauenstein factory (Bavaria) - Kosolup factory (Böhmen) and branches in Berlin, Paris, London, Prague Vienna and Kosolup. Due to the change of political power and the associated takeovers under the Aryanization, Ludwig Auerbach was forced to emigrate abroad and to sell his company.
