His parents were Marx Rosenfelder and Henriette Rosenfelder, née Weil. Adolf Rosenfelder died unmarried on November 2, 1881 at the young age of just under 32. He is buried in the Augsburg Jewish Cemetery. Hermann Aufhäuser, born on January 9, 1847 in Hainsfarth married on May 25, 1876 Julie Reu(i)tlinger von Pappenheim.Julie was a daughter of David Reu(i)tlinger von Pappenheim and Auguste Rosenfelder von Aufhausen bei Bopfingen (sister of Adolf Rosenfelder).Hermann Aufhäuser and Julie Reutlinger had 4 children - Albert (1877), David (1879), Siegried (1884) and Frieda (1892). Hermann Aufhäuser died in 1931, when the oldest son Albert Aufhäuser had been running the business for a long time. After Albert Aufhäuser was accused of racial defilement in 1937 and was punished with a prison sentence (he dictated letters to his Aryan secretary after regular working hours), the company had to be sold in 1938. In 1940, ill and frail, he was sent to the Jüdische Altersheim Regensburg.In September 1942, he was deported to Theresienstadt. David Aufhäuser, professor, chemist and factory owner emigrated from Hamburg to the USA in 1938.Siegfried Aufhäuser, SPD member and Reichstag deputy fled abroad in 1933 before his arrest. Frieda Aufhäuser, married Löbl fled with her husband Sali Löbl üvia Moscow – Vladivostok – Japan – Hawaii – USA – Mexico – Panama to Ecuador. The couple was able to bring their two children Erika (1924) and Werner (1926) to safety as early as June 1939 with a Kindertransport to England.
