Bernhard Wiesengrund was born on January 1, 1801 in Dettelbach in Lower Franconia. The parents were Beritz David and Serie Wiesengrund from Dettelbach. The grandfather was Jüdlein David, cattle dealer in Dettelbach. Bernhard Wiesengrund founded a wine shop in Frankfurt at Schönen Aussicht 7. Presumably, the wine shop was passed on to his son David Theodor Wiesengrund (wine and tea merchant), because later his son Oscar Wiesengrund continued the wine business at Schönen Aussicht 7 ". Oscar Wiesengrund was married to Maria Barbara Calvelli-Adorno, from whose marriage the philosopher Theodor Wiesengrund - Adorno was born. On November 9, 1938 (Reichspogromnacht) the house of the Wiesengrunds was pelted with stones and the couple was arrested. The wine shop at Schönen Aussicht 7 " was plundered and destroyed. As a result of these events, Oscar Wiesengrund and his wife tried to leave Germany as quickly as possible. In 1939 they sold their house and business far below value and fled to the USA via Cuba.
