Scouring cloth weaving and textile goods - Emil Horn

Emil Horn was born on May 1, 1876 in Geisa (Thüringen).He was married to Lina Gruber, born in Kriegshaber on May 31, 1886. The couple married on November 13, 1908 in Augsburg-Kriegshaber and  had 1st daughter - Bertha, born on September 22, 1912 in Fulda. -In the Augsburg address book from 1925 the following entry can be found: Emil Horn,* Fa. ( Inh.: Emil Horn ), Scheuertuchweberei und Textilwaren, Bismarckstr.13. Emil and Lina Horn moved in 1936 from Augsburg to München to Adelgundenstraße 1/II . In München, Emil Horn had a wholesale business for textile goods and scouring cloths, until this business was no longer permitted in 1938. Emil Horn died in Munich on May 15, 1940. Lina Horn was deported from Munich to Kaunus (Kowno) in Lithuania on November 20, 1941 and murdered there 5 days later. Daughter Bertha managed to emigrate to New York in November 1939.
