Felix Gutmann, a native of Kissingen, was the owner of the company Glue Industry and advertised as a supplier to state railroads and administrations. In addition, he operated a credit agency that provided information on the creditworthiness of companies and business partners. He was married to Erna Gutmann,née Haas from Fürth. The couple had three children - Ilse (1914), Elsbeth (1916) and Paul Josef (1920).The morning after the Reich pogrom night, Felix Gutmann was taken to the Bad Kissingen district court prison together with 27 other Bad Kissingen Jews. He was then taken to Dachau concentration camp, which he was able to leave on November 20 after 10 days in prison. Felix Gutmann and his wife remained in Bad Kissingen. In 1940, the couple had to move out of their apartment into so-called Jewish houses, first in Eberhardtstrasse, then in Hemmerichstrasse. On April 24, 1942, the Gutmanns were finally deported via Würzburg to Krasnystaw in the Lublin district of Poland. It is assumed that the couple was deported either to the Izbica ghetto or to the Krasnicvn subcamp, where they died.
