Hedwig Marx, born on 15.04.1888 in Frankfurt am Main, married on 18.01.1910 Oscar Löw-Beer, born on 21 April 1878 in Brünn, from the widely ramified Löw - Beer family of merchants and industrialists. After receiving his doctorate from the University of Heidelberg in 1901, Oscar Löw-Beer gained professional experience in various European industrial companies in Germany, Austria and England before taking over the management of the Griesheim chemical plant, which was run by his father-in-law, in 1910. After the Griesheim company was ceded to the IG der Anilin-Farben in 1915, Oscar Löw-Beer acquired Chemische Fabriken Worms AG. Hedwig Marx's parents were Dr. Hermann Marx (*.. †2.9.1910 in Vienna) and Elisabeth "Elise" née Nassauer (*.. †09.03.1937). Dr. phil. Hermann Marx lived from 1902 until his death with his family in his own house at Sandhofstraße 20 (today Paul-Ehrlich-Straße), i.e. in the immediate vicinity of Forsthausstraße. The couple Oscar and Hedwig Löw - Beer had 3 daughters - Edith May, b.1911;- Elly Vera, b.1914 and Haidi Dorrit, b.1921. The villa Forsthaustraße 115 was destroyed during World War 2.
