In a record (census) of the Israelite population in the town of Oettingen from February 17/18, 1851, Amson Frohmann is named as head of the family. The number of souls with epitome of the family members also serving away from home is listed as 6. As information about the profession or trade "Associe" is given. In the Ingoldstadter Wochenblatt of September 1847, the following advertisement is found: "A. J. Frohmann from Oettingen - I am moving into the next Dult with my stock of cloth and fashion goods assorted with all the new autumn articles, and I recommend the same for your approval, in which I note that I will keep my booth closed on Sunday the 12th due to the coinciding holidays, but will sell at extremely cheap prices on the other days. My large double booth is, as usual, in front of the house of Mr. Weingastgeber Vorngeber marked with the company - A. J. Frohmann." In the Wochen-Blatt für die Stadt und den Landgerichts-Bezirk Oettingen of December 1848, the following advertisement can be found: "I hereby humbly announce that my stock of gala goods and toys for the coming Christmas is quite freshly assorted, and I hereby humbly invite an honored public to take delivery. - A.J.Frohmann."
