In 1855, Daniel Rosenthal founded the company "Daniel Rosenthal & Co.". The previously existing company "Rosenthal, Steinhart & Co." was dissolved by mutual friendly agreement. Each of the 3 partners founded a new company. Daniel Rosenthal was so successful that he was called the "pioneer of the German corset industry". In 1874 the company became a partnership. Bernhard Rosenthal, Aron Fleischer with son Samuel Fleischer joined the company as partners. In 1880 the company was dissolved, from which two new corset factories emerged in the same year: "Wilhelm Rosenthal & Co." and "Rosenthal, Fleischer & Co.
