Georg Moses Max Kaliski was born in Danzig on January 7, 1894, the son of Louis Simon Kaliski and his wife Rosalie Antonie née Nickel. His siblings were Paula Ernestine, Frida Pauline, Ella Rosalie and Walter Louis. When he came to Berlin is unknown. At the end of the 1930s he was an official at the Jewish Community, he administered the Choriner Strasse clothing store and was sworn in by the Gestapo because of this function. In 1939 he married the secretary Antonia (Toni) Boronow and moved in with her and her mother at Habsburgerstraße 12. The marriage was probably arranged. Georg Kaliski had to participate in the deportation of the Jews insofar as he was on duty day and night in the Levetzowstraße synagogue and had to provide the people destined for deportation with blankets, clothing, and other things. On one of his few free evenings, May 27, 1942, he was arrested at home as part of the reprisal action following the attack on the exhibition "The Soviet Paradise" and shot in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp on May 28, 1942.
