Detmar Prinz was born on 25.08.1897 in Berlin. His parents were Moritz Prinz (from Prussian Stargard - died 1849 in Berlin-Baumschulenweg) and Dorothea Prinz née Hoch (from Festenberg - died 1910). He learned the profession of a bank clerk. The place of work is not known. On 11.01.1912 he married the accountant Louise Abraham and subsequently lived at Ekkehardstr. 5 in Berlin-Baumschulenweg. Both stated "Mosaic" as their religion. No children were born in the marriage. On October 12, 1941, Detmar Prinz chose suicide together with his wife Louise. The gravestone of Detmar Prinz is located in a grave complex together with that of his wife, his father and his mother at the Jewish Cemetery Weißensee.
