Halina Nelken's home
In her memoirs, Nelken describes their apartment: a parent's cozy bedroom that was "filled with Viennese furniture decorated with inlays of light blond wood". A door from the bedroom led to a dining - living room. Half of the opposite to the door space was taken by a "credenza which looked like a mighty castle flanked by two turrets and decorated with carvings and little galleries". In the middle in the niche of the credenza was a statue of Moses with ten commandments.

Jacob Treumann founded the "Hop Shop J. Treumann" in Bamberg in 1887. Jacob Treumann, born on September 11, 1846 in Mühlhausen/Mfr was married to Babette, née Öttinger, born on February 20, 1855 in Regensburg. Jacob Treumann died on August 27, 1919 in Bamberg. Babette Öttinger died on December 13, 1930 in Bamberg. The couple had 6 children - Rudolf, born on June 19, 1876, - Paul,born on January 1, 1878 - emigrated to the USA before 1925; Bella, born on March 10, 1880, - Olga, born on 12.

.Elisabeth Schmitz
The native of Hanau, Elisabeth Schmitz (* 1893, + 1977) was a Protestant theologian and resistance fighter against National Socialism. She graduated from the Schillerschule in Frankfurt in 1914. After studying history, German language and literature, and theology she was permanently employed at the Luisengymnasium in Berlin-Moabit as a Studienrätin.
Apartment - Dr. Irma Klausner-Cronheim
After her license to practice medicine in Halle a. S. in 1901, Irma Klausner practiced in Berlin as an internist and pediatrician with a license to practice until her profession was banned in 1938. Irma Klausner-Cronheim was a member of the Jewish community in Berlin. She was active in the women's movement and, together with her sisters, took a stand against § 218 in the abortion debate. It was not until November 1938 that Irma Klausner-Cronheim managed to escape to Sweden, and in April 1940 she immigrated from Sweden to the United States.

Felix Lewent was a son of Hermann Lewent and Regina Lewent, née Moses. Felix had 3 other brothers, - Kurt. Hans and Leo. Kurt Lewent died in the USA in 1964. Hans Lewent died in 1955 in England.
