Production

The mechanical tricot - weaving mill Göppingen Einstein & Mayer was established in 1891 by the partners Joseph Einstein and Hermann Mayer, who came from Buchau am Federsee.Joseph Einstein died in 1898. Hermann Mayer in 1913. In 1900, the company moved into its newly built factory building.1910 were employed in the company 185 workers and employees. In 1913, the company was transformed into a G.m.b.H.

When it came to the dissolution of the company "D. Rosenthal & Co." in 1887, two new corset factories emerged from it in the same year: "Wilhelm Rosenthal & Co." and "Rosenthal, Fleischer & Co.". The first shareholders of the company "Rosenthal, Fleischer & Co." were Samuel, Julius and Leopold Fleischer and Adolph Rosenthal, who lived in London and left the company again as early as 1889.

The company "Dettelbach & Co", originally founded by Emanuel Dettelbach from Jebenhausen, became the company "Gebrüder Levy & Rothschild" after sale to the brothers August and Sigmund Levy in 1873 and after Moritz Rothschild joined as a partner in 1875. Already in the following year, the partners separated. Sigmund Levy moved to Stuttgart, August Levy founded his own company "August Levy & Co" and Moritz Rothschild continued as sole owner of the company until 1892, from which time the company "M.Rothschild & Sons" took over.

Salomon and Joseph Ottenheimer founded the weaving mill for cotton & linen in Jebenhausen in 1862. In 1865, the brothers moved their business to Göppingen. After Salomon Ottenheimer left in 1902, Max Ottenheimer, son of Joseph Ottenheimer, joined as a partner. In 1905, a second factory was built in Kleinsüßen and the main office was moved there; a branch office was established in Göppingen. The company changed its name to "Mechanische Weberei Süßen, Gebrüder Ottenheimer, Göppingen und Süßen".

Before it came to the founding of the company Netter & Eisig, Nathan Netter led the company "N. Netter", which was originally founded in 1870 by the Schmieheim-born merchants Nathan Netter and Joseph Hoffmann as a corset and shoe drill - weaving mill "Hoffmann & Netter" and then from 1873 by Nathan Netter alone until 1885 under his name company "N. Netter" continued. With the acquisition of J. Beck's property in 1885, the company "Netter & Eisig" was founded, which produced book binding fabrics and imitation leather for shoe linings.

Originally coming from Jebenhausen from the 1862 established company "Heumann, Hildebrand & Fleischer", which was dissolved again in 1869 by its three partners Kaufmann Heumann, Gottlieb Hildenbrand and Moritz Fleischer, founded the same year after moving to Göppingen Kaufmann Heumann together with his son Julius Heumann the company "Heumann & Son". In 1876 Leopold Heumann, the younger son of Kaufmann Heumann, joined the company as a partner. After the death of Kaufmann Heumann in 1877 and the death of Julius Heumann in 1899, Leopold Heumann remained as sole owner.
