<p>Eva-Maria Buch was born in Berlin on January 31, 1921 and last lived in Mariendorf at Hochfeilerweg 23a from 1935. In 1941, she met the KPD functionary Wilhelm Guddorf through her work in an antiquarian bookshop and thus came into contact with a resistance group of the Red Orchestra around Harro Schulze-Boysen and Arvid Harnack. She also worked as a language teacher at the Friedrich Wilhelm University in Berlin and translated articles for the illegal newspaper &quot;Die innere Front&quot;, which was intended for foreign forced laborers and which she helped to distribute.
