Bernhard Guttmann was born in Breslau on July 9, 1863 to Jewish parents. Since 1928 Bernhard Guttmann lived at Wielandstr. 27 II. He was a merchant. Presumably the widow Lisbeth Michalowitz, née Guttmann, born on November 18, 1869 in Breslau, was his sister. She lived at Wilhelmshöherstraße 25 from 1938 until her deportation to Theresienstadt on September 22, 1942. Josef Schmeidler, presumably a relative, supported Bernhard Guttmann and Lisbeth Michalowitz with regular monthly payments.
