Helene Henia Riesel was born in Stanislaw on July 1, 1884, the daughter of Rebecca Regine Riesel and Moritz Lichtenholz; her sister was named Clara. Helene Henia Riesel married the merchant Adolf Abraham Weinstock and moved with him to Berlin in 1909. Their children were born: David ( May 25, 1911), Erich ( March 29, 1913), Elli ( November 23, 1915) and Max ( September 6, 1917 ). Her husband Adolf Abraham dealt in furniture. From 1922 Helene Henia Weinstock took over the furniture business, now at 35 Winterfeldstrasse, where the family lived in a 3 ½ room apartment.
