1992 Foundation of the association "Alte Synagoge Steinsfurt e.V.". In 2007, the city of Sinsheim has transferred the responsibility for the synagogue to the association. Restoration of the synagogue according to the principle: preserve everything old, leave traces of history visible. The aim of the association is to make the synagogue a memorial of peace and a place of remembrance. The reappraisal of the Jewish history of the place is very central. A memorial book is available in the synagogue, which tells the story of all the Jews who once lived in Steinsfurt.
