A prayer hall or synagogue was originally located in a house called "Judenbau", which was originally an inn and was inhabited by Jewish families. In 1842 a synagogue was built and inaugurated in 1846. The synagogue was located in the northern part of the massive, two-story building, adjoining it on the first floor was the apartment of the teacher and prayer leader. On the second floor was the Jewish school. The prayer hall had a women's gallery on three sides. During the November pogrom in 1938, the former synagogue was not destroyed, but nevertheless it was smeared with an inscription in red paint: "Here is the seat of the Jewish criminals! Hang them!". In December 1939, the political community decided to buy the synagogue building for the amount of RM 1,000. The building was rebuilt into a residential house, which still exists today. Since the beginning of June 2012, there is a memorial plaque on the building.
