Bruchweg Synagogue (Niedermeiser)

In Niedermeiser there was a prayer room or a synagogue in one of the Jewish residential houses. The building in Bruchweg, which has survived to this day, was a two-story half-timbered building with a gable roof in the street. In the garden there was a "permanent" leaf hut in the place where there is also an annex today. The barn attached to the east served the shepherd for the ritual slaughters. 

It is not known how long services were held in the building. Due to the sharp decline in the number of Jewish residents in the places probably not beyond the period around 1900. In 1909 the congregation was dissolved. At that time the building of the former synagogue was sold. Also the building part with the prayer room and the classroom was converted to residential purposes.
