Jewish cemetery Uffhofen

The small-scale burial ground of the Jewish cemetery in Uffhofen in the Gewann Judenkirchhof is located on a hillside on Wendelsheimer Weg southwest of Uffhofen in the midst of vineyards. The old trees can be seen from afar. Of the seven gravesites, all belonging to the Althoff family, four are sandstone stelae with arched finial and characteristic circular motif, built between 1871 and 1889, those of Moses Althoff (died 1883) with Levite can in relief. The three tall obelisk-like stelae of 1906, 1911 and 1929 were made of black Swedish.
