Jewish cemetery Elmshorn

The Jewish cemetery in Elmshorn is located on Feldstraße. Burials no longer take place there. The enclosed area has a size of 1,740 m² and is not open to the public. At the entrance to Feldstraße there is a small tahara house from 1906. The oldest gravestones date from the early 18th century. The cemetery was assigned to the Jewish community in Hamburg from 1960 to 2007; since then it has been cared for by the Jewish community of Elmshorn, which was re-established in 2003.
