The synagogue in Herxheim near Landau/Pfalz, a local community in the district of Südliche Weinstraße in Rhineland-Palatinate, was built in 1841/42. The synagogue stood at Obere Hauptstra e 18.

The well-known architect August von Voit (1801–1870) was commissioned to plan the synagogue. He designed a Jewish community center for Herxheim, in which the synagogue stood behind two single-storey buildings about five meters wide, the teacher's residence and the Jewish school. The main room of the synagogue measured 15 by 10 meters. The women's gallery was accessed from the vestibule.

At the end of the 19th century, some of the synagogue's furnishings were renovated. In 1923/24, the two front buildings were connected, extended and converted into a residential building.

In the November pogrom of 1938, the synagogue was destroyed by the National Socialists and the interior was completely destroyed. Mayor Knecht ordered the demolition of the synagogue shortly afterwards. The costs of the demolition were paid for by the purchase of the land by the political community.

Since 1988, a memorial plaque has stood on the site of the synagogue together with an ornamental stone from the Almemor or Torah shrine that was found.
