A century after Franz Kafka’s death, the Jewish Museum Berlin has dedicated an exhibition to the iconic writer: Access Kafka. The focus is on exploring diverse approaches to Kafka’s life and works. Original manuscripts and drawings by Kafka are presented alongside contemporary works by distinguished artists.

The exhibition also highlights the time Kafka spent in Berlin. The writer was captivated by the city’s rich cultural life and its multiplicity. His relationship with Felice Bauer, who lived in Berlin from a young age and later became his fiancée, deepened his connection to the city.

Kafka’s Berlin, a biographically inspired tour on Jewish Places, takes readers to locations that were meaningful to Kafka. As a snapshot in history, the walk offers fascinating insights into Berlin’s cultural and Jewish life during his era.

The temporary exhibition Access Kafka will be on display at the Jewish Museum Berlin from 13 December 2024 to 4 May 2025.
