We owe this distinction to you, our dear Jewish Places users. The nomination is an appreciation of your work sharing local Jewish history with others and making it available to all who are interested. Every day, you improve the interactive map by sharing your knowledge about Jewish Places and uploading compelling information. Allow us to express our gratitude!

The German Award for Civic Engagement is awarded by a consortium of volunteer organizations. Over four hundred nominated projects compete for the award, which is put to a public vote. The organization that receives the most votes will receive ten thousand euros in prize money on 2 December in Berlin.

We hope you continue to enjoy our platform.

Thanks again for your support,

The Jewish Places team
