Berlin-Steglitz, Potsdam, Brandenburg an der Havel, Oranienburg, and now Berlin-Spandau! Today (28 October) marks the beginning of our week-long project “on.tour goes Jewish Places” at the B. Traven Gemeinschaftsschule (secondary school). We can’t wait to spend a week discovering Spandau’s Jewish history together with students from the ninth and tenth grades. The students will conduct independent research on Jewish Places, use tablets to explore their surroundings, and meet and talk with Jewish people. At the end of the week, the young local experts will share their new knowledge on our platform, presenting their results to a broader public.

We’re already looking forward to going on.tour with Jewish Places somewhere new next year, and searching for traces of Jewish life with students from other schools.

The Jewish Museum Berlin would like to thank the Deutsche Bank Stiftung for their support of the on.tour program.
