Jewish cemetery Iserlohner Straße (Hohenlimburg)

The new Jewish cemetery in Hohenlimburg is located on the neighboring property and is 1166m in size. The Jewish community owned the land as early as 1860 and in 1885 it was designated as a new burial ground. Between 1887 and 1938, a total of 95 burials took place there, the last one in December 1938. The land was expropriated in 1941 in favor of the town of Hohenlimburg. In 1952, the Jewish Trust Corporation (JTC) was registered as the new owner, followed by the Landesverband der Jüdischen Gemeinden von Westfalen-Lippe.
