The Anne Frank Zentrum, which opened in Berlin on June 12, 1998, is the German partner organization of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. The center commemorates Anne Frank's life and her diary with exhibitions and educational programs. In this way, visitors are given access to the history of the Holocaust and encouraged to confront anti-Semitism in the past and present. The places of learning created for children and young people also offer links to their own lives. In addition to the exhibitions and educational programs, the House is committed to projects throughout Germany in which participants learn to assume social responsibility and to commit themselves to freedom, equal rights and democracy. The topics of anti-Semitism, racism and discrimination and how to deal with them today are also dealt with.
