Jewish cemetery between Kirberg and Dauborn

Since 1903, the cemetery of the former Jewish religious community, to which the Jews of the villages of Dauborn, Kirberg, Heringen and Mensfelden belonged, has been located on the road between Kirberg and Dauborn.

The Jewish Community became extinct in 1940, and the cemetery was signed over to the community of Kirberg for 50 RM under the pressure of persecution.

In 1953, the Jewish Restitution Successor Organization Inc. declared it Jewish property again. The cemetery is now administered by the State Association of Jewish Communities in Hesse. The community of Hünfelden has taken over its care.
