In 2013/2015, the town hall square was redesigned and the infrastructure renewed. Since then, the redesigned square offers an open area to the west in the area of the former synagogue and a recessed, quiet square to the west and north of the Old Town Hall. The western town hall square is now characterized by a grove of small-crowned trees with seating and the memorial to the former synagogue. A white line of granite traces the walls of the former synagogue. The inauguration of the redesigned Town Hall Square was May 9, 2015.

A memorial plaque commemorates the synagogue since 1959.
