After the war, the building was returned to the Jewish community of Thuringia. However, because there were no more Jews in Vacha, the building was then sold. Contradictory statements in the literature on the destruction during the Nazi period : synagogue completely destroyed (Arlt, Ehlers et al., 1992) and synagogue demolished inside, outside largely undamaged (Kahl, 1997) Last use: residential building
