Location of the Children's House of Female Welfare

On March 23, 1919, the Kinderhaus der Weiblichen Fürsorge opened its doors at Hans-Thoma-Straße 24 in the Sachsenhausen district of Frankfurt. The building was acquired in 1918 thanks to a generous donation from Bertha Schwarzschild.
On September 15, 1942, the Jewish children still living in the home and their caregivers were deported to Theresienstadt.
