Private Clinic Dr. Ernst Roberth

Dr. Ernst Roberth studied in Heidelberg (where he belonged to the Nassovia corps), Würzburg and Berlin. He obtained his doctorate in Würzburg in 1843. A year later, the city of Frankfurt allowed him to set up as a general practitioner. In addition to working for around eight years in the private maternity clinic (Gartenhaus) in Hanauer Landstraße, he also practiced as a railroad doctor. During the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71, he worked in a reserve hospital (Bacconiusscher Garten).
The Jewish private clinic Dr. Ernst Roberth is said to have existed in Frankfurt am Main from the middle of the 19th century.
