The Jewish Museum Munich was founded in 2007. It defines itself is a vibrant place showcasing the diversity of Jewish history and culture as well as the wide variety of Jewish lifeworlds and identities, while also focusing on the subjects of migration and inclusion. It places a particular focus on Bavaria and Munich. The Jewish Museum Munich makes the results of its work accessible to the public through exhibitions, events, educational programming, and much more.
The Jewish Museum Munich has been a partner of Jewish Places since 2021. During the 2021–22 school year, the cultural communication department of the Jewish Museum Munich supported a project course at a Munich high school. The participating students independently researched and compiled entries about the life and work of Therese Giehse, an actor from Munich.
You can view the Life Story of Therese Giehse on Jewish Places.
