Excerpt from the information brochure 'While you are in England. Helpful Information and Guidance for every Refugee', published by the 'German Jewish Aid Committee', which was in the possession of the Schiff couple. In bilingual form (English and German), the pages reproduced here urge the refugees to make good use of their time in the final country if their final destination of emigration was the United States (as was the case with the Schiffs). The refugees were urged to be helpful in the neighborhood and to be "loyal" to England, their host country.
