On the memorial to the 11,000 martyrs of the Jewish community of Cologne, the Board and the Representative Office had a plaque installed in honor of Isidor Caro. The inscription on the memorial reads: "To our last rabbi, Dr. Isidor Caro, who was in office from 1908 to 1942 and who was martyred in Theresienstadt together with his community members. In grateful memory Synagogue Community Cologne".
