After the old cemetery on Cyriakstraße was leveled (1952), 28 gravestones, including some medieval ones from the Moritz Gate, were placed east of the mourning hall. In the mid-1930s, the New Jewish Cemetery was extended eastward by a third burial ground, delimited by a hedge.
