Article from Der Israelit of 18.11.1920 on the inauguration on 7 November 1920 of Philipp de Haas as state rabbi in Oldenburg. The article reads:
"On Sunday afternoon the introduction of the new Land Rabbi, Dr. de Haas from Katowice, took place in connection with a service celebration. Representing the Ministry were Geh. Oberregierungsrat von Finkh, and as representatives of the Jewish communities the members of the Landgemeinderat. After an introductory and welcoming song by the children's choir, Dr. de Haas ascended the pulpit and developed the task and goal of his future work in heartfelt and heartfelt words, which culminated in the emphasis on peace with all people without distinction of denomination. After the Mincho and Maariw prayer, the children's singing concluded the effective induction ceremony."
