Recent color photograph of the former residence of Tahl. The picture shows a main house overgrown with ivy and on the left a small annex with a yellow facade. Through its shop window some pictures and paintings can be seen. The latter housed Gustav Tahl's first daylight studio.

Beschreibung
On May 22, 1919, Magarethe Dora Meijer and Gustav Tahl tied the knot. They had four children: Margot, Friedel, Gerda and Elenore. After the marriage, Gustav Tahl, who was of Jewish descent, converted to the Protestant Church. He then moved to Oldenburg to Ulmenstrasse 9, where he opened his first photo store and a daylight studio under the name "Fotohandlung für Kunst, Industrie und Gewerbe" with great success. Tahl was able to run his main business without further conflicts until 1933, when the SA discovered that he was a native Jew and boycotted his commercial success.
