Beschreibung
Irmgard was arrested at 8:30 a.m. on February 6, 1944, at her place of work and taken from there to Grenoble, where there were already 100 to 120 other prisoners. After a stopover in the Drancy collection camp, she was deported to Auschwitz on March 7, 1944. Irmgard Brill had to work in agriculture, among other things, before she was assigned to embroidery after an illness. In November 1944, she was taken to Lippstadt for forced labor in the Hella factories. When the labor camp had to be evacuated on March 30, 1945 due to the approaching American troops, she went on foot with the remaining workers in the direction of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. On 01.04.1945 near Kaunitz the train was liberated by the Americans.
