As politicians in the Reichstag and also through his medical profession, the Mendels had the opportunity to live in many luxurious houses. For example, they moved into an estate right next to the Reichstag building at Leipzigerstraße 13 in Berlin or the large villa at Breite Straße 44 right next to his mental hospital, where you can still find a memorial plaque to Emanuel Mendel today.
