Beschreibung
The Office for the Protection of Historical Monuments of the City of Hamburg commissioned the restoration and completion of the fragments of Fromet Mendelssohn's grave that were found. The grave inscription identifies Fromet Mendelssohn as the widow of "our teacher, the master, Mr. Moshe Mendelssohn", as "demure" and "pious". The inscription provides little information about her personality and activities outside the shadow of her famous husband.
