Moses Mendelssohn's funeral took place on Thursday, January 5, 1786 in the old Jewish cemetery on Hamburger Straße in Berlin. Many descendants of the Mendelssohns were buried here. After the cemetery was leveled and used by the National Socialists, only a reconstruction of Mendelssohn's grave can be visited today.
